As a mother and grandmother, I know the problems faced by every-day working families.

I have had to make tough decisions to balance a checkbook, decide which bills to pay and help determine what is really important when it comes to providing for our families.

For too long, many politicians have failed to make the tough decisions necessary to guarantee the future for our children and grandchildren. They have become career politicians, corrupted by power and money, who worry more about getting re-elected than doing what is right for our country.

Our deficit spending is sending our country into bankruptcy and bailouts are threatening to mortgage the future of our children and grandchildren. Our Constitution is under attack and our children’s futures are being threatened by a Congress that often seems to care more about serving special interests than in serving the people of this country.
